MATI Nazareth and the Galilee
Mati Nazareth Entrepreneurship Development Center serves young entrepreneurs and small businesses in Nazareth, and the towns and villages in the Galilee in Northern Israel. Founded in 1996, we are one of the oldest centers for assistance to small businesses in Israel and in Arab society, having served and still serving thousands of businesses and young entrepreneurs from the Nazareth region.

Has tremendous work experience 1980-2001 Bank Leumi Israel - credit officer 2001-2002 Advisor to the Minister of Commerce and Industry for Arab Sector Affairs 2002-2009 Head of the Bustan Almarg Regional Council 2009-2014 Chairman of Mati Nazareth 2014-2018 Head of Bustan Almarg Regional Council 2013 – 2020 Chairman of North Flight 2020- to date CEO of Nazareth Mati.
Has extensive experience in social projects with a financial background (mortgage consultant and data analyst)
We also work to expand business activities by providing professional tools for streamlining management and operations and upgrading business activities in the localities of Nazareth and the Galilee, with the goal of supporting and expanding local businesses and thus strengthening financial independence and lowering the unemployment rates in the Arab sector up North. Our courses and programs help to empower small business owners, strengthen feelings of self-worth, encourage motivation and belief in success and breaking the cycle of poverty.
Nazareth’s Social Economic ranking is 3rd from the bottom and the level of poverty and unemployment in Nazareth and the surrounding Arab villages is very high. Mati Nazareth’s goals are to encourage financial growth and business development of small and medium-sized businesses in the area by accompanying, training, offering workshops and individual counseling, business plans, preparing applications for funding from various funds and encouraging employment for women and empowering them.
Mati offers the following programs, among others: Business incubator for the development of local entrepreneurial enterprises, which provides an effective platform to locate young entrepreneurs, analyze their initiatives and provide them with training and tools they need to succeed in the business word. Business finance and violence prevention in the Arab sector: financial support for businesses in financial difficulties, debt, bankruptcy proceedings, education about the dangers of the black market. Real Estate and Mortgage certification: to train freelancers in the field of mortgage, real estate and investments and prepare them for receiving a professional certification as a real estate agent, and more.
Our successes include numerous small businesses established as a direct result of participation in Mati’s programs, including women owned small businesses, and many success stories of professionals who managed to take their businesses to the next level. Our courses and programs help to empower small business owners, strengthen feelings of self-worth, encourage motivation and belief in success and breaking the cycle of poverty.
